Hi my name is Rosemary but everyone calls me Roe, I am 43 years old happily married to my childhood sweetheart and we have a son together/ three boys all together counting my husbands first marriage. I have had a weight problem my entire life constantly on diets gaining and loosing. Five years ago I was hospitalized with ketoacidosis my blolod sugars were high for apparantly awhile not knowing what was wrong, my health deteriorated until I was hospitalized and finally told that I was a diabetic, well needless to say this has changed my lif forever. Now I am on an insulin pump and still struggle with my numbers sometime my blood sugar goes as high as 600, I have neropathy in my legs and my feet, carpal tunnel in both hands, poor circulation and constant yeast infections....I am going through my changes dont know if thats related or not but told by doctors that its possible....One day I read an article in the paper about a doctor from New York that claims this surgery RNY could possible reverse diabetes....so I have looked into it for the past year found a doctor and started the process to a healthier me. I decided that I want to be here for my son and husband and need to do this for myself.....so here I am!!!!
