My story... well.  I have been over weight all my life.  it started more so when I had surgery on my legs.  That made me not walk for over a year and a half.   During that time that is when the weight started to come on.  It was hard to get active again because my legs were so weak.  I was an active chubby girl. Was on the basketball team, and was very active in high school; but not enough to loose weight.  In fact with stress of school and later getting out of basketball made me to gain more weight.   I tried every diet as I know everyone on this site has.  From weight watchers to herbal diets, to acupunture to liquid diets.  For the most part it seems like  I would loose a few pounds here or there but nothing that would show on Me.

I was introduced first to the fobi pouch procedure, went to the seminar, met the doctor and was real cool.  But I did my research and I didn't like the procedure at all.  I was too afraid of leaks and staple openings.  Plus the thought that the actual band around the stomach can move up and down enabling you to eat more and gain weight.  Then there was the gastric bypass.  I did a lot of research about that.  But this is the only one that I believe that would help me at my weight.  I have been approved and told that I have to loose an initial 20-25 pounds.  All these years of suffering and hardship is finally letting me see a better life. I am trying to get this weight loss process going and I hope I will have lost some or half by this month in july 2006.  I will let you know what happens as it comes.

I thank god that I don't have any medical problems.  except the fact of being overweight.... I just want to have the surgery before the complications do come.
