Getting my butt out of bed in the morning.......

...at 5:15 so I can be at the gym by 5:35. After trying for months to find the time to go to the gym after work in the afternoon, I followed the advice I was given at Dr. Brader's office. Get up early and go in the morning. I started right after Christmas - yup, during the spell of frigid weather. The thermometer in my car read 18F the first morning. I thought, to quote Chevy Chase in the original "Family Vacation" movie, as he's diving into the pool with Christie Brinkley, "this is crazy, this is crazy!". But, I have found that not only can I see the progress in weight loss returning [I'd hit a plateau], but I feel better between the ears. So, I've been doing this 3 or 4 times a week now for 3 weeks - I can't say I've been able to follow the suggested excercise regimen completely, but I'm coming close. Even with getting there between 5:35 and 5:45, I'm still a bit pressed for time. But I figure it this way - if I can get through January, February and March, what follows will be a breeze.
