"Originally, when I started my journey at BTC, my doctor was Dr. Jerry Rogers. Because I had insurance issues, it was six months later and Dr. Rogers had retired. It was at that time I was told my new doctor was Dr. Poplawski. BTC called me and told me that Dr. Pop wanted to meet me so I made a trip back to Ypsi for another consultation, which I didn't mind at all. This is my life I am talking about! I have spent a whole lot of time reseaching this surgery, so I immdiately told him that I had read all of his patients comments and now I would like the opportunity to draw my own conclusions. It made him laugh of course... We didn't spend time going over the surgery per say, but we did talk a lot about WHY I overeat, my support, counseling and the emotional side of being fat. I appreciate his concern knowing that he doesn't want me to set myself up for failure and I agree wholeheartedly that I have a mental problem that needs to be fixed. He was very happy that my husband was there and I could tell that he was happy that I had done so much research before I had made my decision. My conclusion: I feel very confident with his surgical capabilities and I think this was God's plan for me to have Dr. Pop as my surgeon."
