"Dr Gritsus is a wonderful surgeon. he has a great bedside manner, and he treats you with special attention. my lap band surgery was supposed to be same day surgery, but because i was having some chest pain, he decided to keep me overnight for observation and i met with a cardiologist just to be sure i was ok. he and his staff have helped out however they can, from helping me get approved for the surgery to my hospital stay to my after surgery care. his pa-c does a great job in enphasizing what i should be eating and vitamins i should be taking, making sure i understand how to read the labels on certain foods for the nutritional value i need. the doctor took the time to explain both procedures to me (bypass vs. lapband) explained the risks and possible side effects of both, and made sure i understood completely that this is a complete lifestyle change-not a quick fix. i believe in my personal opinion that Dr. Gritsus is a very competent surgeon, and with his personable bedside manner it makes him the perfect doctor !"
