Happy 3 year Post op anniversary to me!!!

6/15/07 Three years ago I underwent the scariest,most beneficial medical procedure VOLUNTARILY!!! My siblings did not approve so I didn't tell them the date of the actual procedure. I called them the evening before. I had nice conversations with them & told them I would talk to them soon... Well my weight-loss surgery included some serious, life-threatening complications...But guess what? I'M STILL HERE...165 pounds lighter & I can't say that I have any regrets...
For all of you thinking about the surgery,pick your doc carefully. Ask lots of questions & get some support systems in place...(such as this site). I also can't say enough about the Susan Maria website"bariatriceating.com"...Whatever your nutritional needs will be post-surgically, they can (and will) help you. Best of luck... Life is so different . Much more full (and not with that damn FOOD!!!) I do still have "issues "w/ food...I bet I always will. It doesn't RULE me anymore...
