Laura I was denied by my insurance company and got my feelings hurt.. then I got mad and appealed the decision.. I think they deny hoping people will give up.. when you appeal you need to contact the department of insurance for your state... file a grievance with them.. get a copy of the letter if possible that your doctor wrote to the insurance company..keep copies of everything you send to the insurance and to the state insurance.. keep on fighting because if you win you will have your surgery and also hopefully pave the way for others to get the surgery..dont give up make waves with the insurance...
