Today is my 34th birthday and the start of a brand new year. Not only will I be starting a brand new career as a nurse in March, but I want to begin the journey towards weight loss surgery. Enough is enough. Being in nursing school for the last 2 years has made me very comfortable with the amazing human body and all it's wonderful functions and excretions. With saying that, I now will say...You know you're too fat when you can hardly reach behind to wipe! (I'm sure you all know what I mean)
After watching my sis drop from 275 pounds to a size 4 with surgery, I attempted to again loose weight by walking, cutting calories, Slimfast, diet pills, PE classes at school, diet journal, guzzling water, you name it, etc...The weight came back, year after year after year. I'm hungry! Thus, the waist, hips, arms, chin, stomach, etc, get bigger! Oh, and the blood pressure gets higher, the joints ache more, and the sleep gets less and less as the fat on my neck suffocates more and more!
Tomorrow I begin the last quarter of nursing school. Tomorrow I will call my doctor and start the ball rolling towards the goal of becoming a healthy nurse, one who can reach all the way behind to wipe!
