Hello Everybody,
Well for starters I feel awesome, I have no major issues with nausea pain or vomiting. YAY! I had gotten so tired of Swanson broth, and I ordered some chicken and rice soup from Demos` Restaurant and just ate the broth. Delish! Kept it down with no nausea. The next day tried quiznos' chicken noodle soup broth with same results. Excited because tomorrow I start the blended(mushy) diet. Already craving eggs for breakfast.
However, I am struggling with my fluids, but is is getting better. I used to get small cramps when I took a sip of water, but now I am drinking with a little more ease, I just need to make sure I am constantly sipping. Protein is a no go, I am lucky if i get 20 grams in a day, I am super worried about that. I am hoping I do better with eating real food.
But so far absolutely no regrets, and I am well on my way to feeling regular. Hope everyone else is feeling great too!

Magnesium Citrate = YUCK!!!!!!!!!!
May 16, 2010
The big day is tomorrow, and so far no nerves. I am excites to begin my new healthier lifestyle. I thought the 2 week liquid diet was bad I would gladly take another week of liquid if I never in my life have to taste Magnesium Citrate again; I had to chase it with chicken broth, and my stomach is still deciding if it wants to rebel Y-U-C-K!!!!!!!! I hope the side affects aren't as unpleasant.

I have been getting colder and colder all week. Today I left work 2 hours early because I was sooo drained, no energy at all. My hand and my feet were freezing and I had a headache. I kinda chocked it up to Not really eating for over a week, but I don't want to overlook anything else. Any suggestions or do you thing it was just one of those days? I'll feel better tomorrow!!!!!! I claim the Victory! Smooches

A Little over 4 Days!!
May 12, 2010
This week is speeding by. Just 4 days left. Super excited. I got my nectar in the mail 2day, and opened the apple kind and tasted the powder. It was surprisingly good. I think I picked a winner lol. I have been extremely cold the last few days, do you think it is because I've been on this liquid diet? Well nevertheless I am a few pounds lighter every morning.
Just wanted to check in with my OH family.

Well, I feel Like I got things Accomplished this weekend...
May 09, 2010
I can hardly believe that the big day is just one week away! I have been feeling kinda behind in my preparations because there was so much I still had to do to get ready. I needed to clean my house really good, Pick which proteins I was going to use for the two weeks after surgery, pick vitamins for my new lifestyle, and on top of that keep focused and prepared mentally for this huge astronomical change about to occur. LOL
Well I can say my office is spotless, I didn't take me long at all. All I had to do was go through all my mail and decide what to keep and what to throw away, Windex my beautiful glass furniture, and vacuum. Now I am sitting here taking deep breaths because a clean room, there's just something about it that makes the air crisp and fresh.
Accomplishment number two: I have fighting about which post-op protein supplement to take for the two weeks I will be on liquid. My diet plan only gave us a choice of two powders and two ready-made liquids. I was leaning toward the ready made liquid, but after research I decided on the Syntrax Nectar based on really good reviews. So I ordered Green Ecstasy for the clear liquid phase and Chocolate Truffle for the Full Liquid phase and I feel really comfortable with those choices. I cost me 60 bucks, but hey they were all running about the same price.
Accomplishment three: I then headed over to Bariatrics Advantage to order my first 3 month supply of vitamins. I ordered the B-12 in black cherry. The nutritionist at Centennial suggested the wild cherry lozenges for the calcium, and I got a three month supply of vitamin D(hopefully all I will have to take) for a grand total of 62 dollars. I decided just to take good ole Flintstones for the multi-vitamin. Getting all this stuff ordered has left me feeling pretty good.
Of course all of you will be glad to know that after my P-I-Z-Z-A flub this past week on my liquid diet I have been doing and feeling awesome, I know this is but a small sacrifice for the new healthier me. Hey the plus side is I have already shed 13 pounds, and you just can't knock that! LOL
Well I guess that's all, God Speed to all you having Surgery this week, and I will check back in soon!

Two Weeks Away
May 05, 2010
Wow, The big day is really creeping up! I have started my two week liquid diet, and I has just hit me how close I am coming to becoming a LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am thankful I am doing well on liquids. I told myself "if I can just make it 3 days I know I'll be good." and I am! The gnawing hunger is gone and I fell good about the next week and some change. Went to pre -op class and to preadmit at the hospital yesterday. Everyone at Centennial has been super nice!!! I even bought a scale yesterday and I have lost three pounds!!!! This is really happening! LOL I praise the Lord that my weight-loss journey is starting! Good Day all!

I finally sent in for my insurance approval last week, and it feels like they email me for a new piece of information daily. I am trying to be calm, but it's making me a little nervous. I know I exceed the requirements, so what is the deal? I am just gonna trust in the Lord.
