Edward Garber

"I'd read about Dr. Garber here and had an idea of what to expect going in. He was cordial but didn't go out of his way to tell jokes or go through a lot of pleasantries. My first impression was that he was sort of "stand-offish", but that didn't bother me at all. He went over everything and explained the procedure. He gave me a quick look over and said that he felt I was a good candidate for the surgery. With every visit, I felt more and more that Dr. Garber was the right choice. What he lacks in "people skills" he more than makes up with making you feel that he is capable, competent and knows his surgery. His office staff is pleasant and works with his patients to get things done. Future patients shouldn't expect a lot of "pizzaz" from Dr. Garber but should know they are in good hands. He more than adequately addressed the risks of the surgery and went over them to my satisfaction. My experience with Dr. Garber would be about 9 out of 10. He and his staff did a great job and I have no complaints about anything. My feeling is that I want a doctor who makes me feel that he is in complete control and that he is capable of handling whatever arises. Dr. Garber didn't impress me outwardly, but inwardly where it really counts. Dr. Garber did a great job putting me back together and my incision has come along fine. If I require any other surgery in the future he'll be seeing me again."

York Hospital

"Overall things were pretty good. Their poor parking situation is due to the ongoing construction at the hospital. The rooms were OK and the staff on the 5th floor, regular beds, was incredibly supportive and helpful. Several of the nurses at York Hospital have had WLS and they treat others from their experience."
