Rounding the Corner of a Year....Can't believe it
May 27, 2009
You know when I started my journey I decided I would keep up with my blog, with my measurements and pictures. It didn't work so well, but the surgery worked wonders. Here I am about a week from a year I have lost 117 pounds and I am only 3 pounds from my goal. I feel great and can hardly believe how thin I have gotten. Never in my dreams did I think that I would fit into a size 7 and wear a small. I would try a smaller size on if I had one. I think having this surgery is one of the best things I did in my life.

My Surgery Experience
Jun 13, 2008
I had to be at the hospital at 5:30 in the morning for a 7:30 surgery. Living 4 hour away from the hospital I was required to spend the night in a hotel in Concord. We choose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We made that decision for many reasons. One is there is a lot of places for my husband to get something to eat and a lot of places to walk around if we got board. The rooms were very nice and they gave us a reduced rate of 65.00 per night. We woke up and arrived at the hospital right at 5:30. They took me right back and time went so quickly. They put me in a gown, and stared and IV. When it was time they gave me something and said this will make you a little drowsy. They started wheeling me away and that is all I remember. The next thing I remember was waking up in my room. The nurses at CMC were wonderful. I have never had such good service at any hospital! I could not of picked a better doctor.
