I'm a divorced mother of two children 11 & 12.  I will be 40 on January 8th and I weight 288 lbs today.. My highest weight ever was 289!  I've tried many ways to lose weight but only seem to gain.   I live in Sudbury, Ontario.

2 Months I started seriously researching WLS (Of course I've thought of it in the past but never did anything about it besides research then that was all.) 

December 1, 2010 I went to my Nurse (I don't have a Doctor). With three pages of information and all the details as to why I qualify for the surgery, who wanted her to refer me too as well as his contact information and where she had to go to get the papers for the referral. (I did it all.. she could not say no I was prepared and had made my decision to have Gastric Bypass Surgery.

She made the referral right away and I have my first meeting with the surgeon on January 4th!! I have to travel to Toronto as no one does that up here.  I will be prepared when I go see him as well. No is NOT an option!. I'm a woman on a MISSION!  Optimal Health is my goal.

So I'm here for support and to learn and to teach.

For my birthday I would like my Surgeon to book my Surgery before the end of March :)
