I added some pictures but didn't know exactly how to add the comments so the same comment is on every picture , sorry. the ones in green are the night before sugery and the others are from my step daughters wedding (I have been raising her for 16 years so we usually drop the step part) What a difference a couple of weeks makes

well last night I hought I would move on to week two of soft foods and grill myself i small piece of salmon , sprinkled a little cheese on top, yum,. Only thing is I ate and ate it slow But It was the most solid food I had eaten since surgery and I was feeling full and took one more bite. this was sooooo bad almost immediately I started feeling bad I was pacing and hurting and feeling like I was dying I was trying to throw up and couldn't . After about an hour of misery I finally threw up some and all the pain went away talk about behaviour modification believe me as soon as I start to feel full in the future the fork is going down I NEVER want to go through that again!

It's been a busy week! My daughter got married last night and there were a lot of last minute preparation. But I got on the scales this morning and was 258 woohoo  it has been years and years since I have seen that number I started with my highest of 306 so 2 more pounds and I will have lost 50 pound , unbelievable . I am just so happy with this whole experience . Still have never been sick havn't felt bad just all good stuff. I cn eat some soft foods now but not real interested in eating I eat once of twice a day and I have slept 2 nights now without my cpap it has been since 2002 that I have slept with that mask every night o that is a big big deal .

I am at home came home yesterday. All went wonderful. My sugeon said i was a model patient . I was up walking tuesday afternoon and have had very little pain , I tell everyone it is like a bad stomach ache . Like you ate too many green apples , I have not been nauseated at all and I am not hungry at all I drink my liquids and eat popsicles and s/f jello and I am happy. So far everything is just great......can;t wait to start losing .

Well, it is the night before my new life.  I have been on clear liquids all day and surprisingly it hasn't bothered me . I had a strange calm come over me this morning , Now I feel like , Come on lets get this overwith . @ nights in the hospital and I should be home thursday afternoon .  Will try to post while I am off work . :-)

January 17th 
My surgery is in 12 days I can't believe it what seemed like a dream is finally a reality . Now that it is so close I am more scared than I thought i would be , and excited. I had to lose 7 more pounds before surgery and have been doing a full fast since last friday , I was not looking forward to it but it has been good for me mentally getting my head right before surgery . Why is it that when you tell people you are having surgery people decide to tell you about all the people who have had surgery and gained weight after? That drives me crazy now I am determined to prove them all wrong and lose it forever! Wish me luck, any words of encouragement would be great.

Well I have been trying for 4 years and 3 insurances to have surgery . i started a new job in January and started a new docotr in september i now go to Weight Wise in Edmond Oklahoma and my Doctor is Dr Broussard . i really love this place they got the ball rolling right away and i am now trying to lose my 20-25 pounds before surgery . I went in monday my first month on the pre surgery diet and have lost 8 lbs also they told me I am approved for the gastric by pass so...about 15 more pounds and i should get a date i am aiming for the end of January . Cannot believe I was approved the first try . I was whooping and hollaring so excited .
