He remains to be \"no nonsense\". Dr. Byrne is very confident of his ability to perform a great surgery, and every patient wants to feel confident in his or her surgeon. In fact, his entire team is as confident as he is. He stresses that the surgeries are \"tools\" not \"cures\" for obesity, and I respect that; therfore the patient has to work. After surgery, I saw a softer side of Dr, Byrne as he propped himself against my bed rail wearing casual clothes, a warm smile, and saying, \"Everything went well!\" I do not regret my decision of Dr. Byrne or Medical University of South Carolina.
