This is my first entry. I decided to have the bypass surgery after aI found out my insurance didn't cover for the lap band. I was under the impression that with the bypass, you couldn't have children. My husband doesn't have any kids so we would like to get pregnant at least the year post op as suggested.
It's been about a week since I scheduled my surgery. I'm supposed to go in on the December 29th for all the pre op testing. I have gained a noticeable amount of pounds since my insurance approved it which was extremely fast within itself. My first appointment with the surgeon was November 29th which was a Thursday. By that Tuesday the scheduled my to come in to schedule my surgery date. It's all happening so fast and I am happy with this decision. Of course here and there I get a little frightened which I think is normal. I am waiting and excited to have this done to start my new life.
