2 Months Post Op.....WOW!!!
Feb 05, 2010
Today I am officially 2 months post op and honestly it does not seem like it's been that long. Things have been great for me this past month. I had a fill appt. today and I have "technically" lost 7lbs.....woooohoooo. On my follow up appt on Jan. 20th with my surgeon, I had gained 2lbs but I didn't post that gain on here b/c I'm not a "daily weigher" and I only check/update my weight loss and or gain once a month which is only when I have my fill appts. So you may see that it will say that I've lost 5lbs this month but technically its 7 b/c I weighed 265 lbs on my follow up appt w/ my surgeon. I also got a fill....so I now have 4.8cc's in my 11 cc allergen band. This time my fill didn't freak me out, I guess I've either gotten used to it or because I already know what to expect, it doesn't bother me as much as it did before. I'm hoping I will have some restriction now, because I can still eat pretty much whatever I want and just about how much I want and that's not good. Lord please, please send me some restriction (let the church say amen, lol).
Like I said, things have been going well for me. I've started back working out and it feels great. I go to the gym Monday-Friday and I workout for about 2hrs and I burn over 500 calories each time
. I'm determined to lose this weight so I can enjoy my life. I'm hoping that everything continues to stay in place b/c I'm a full time student and a full time homemaker and considering that school just started back last month and I know as time goes on, it's going to get more challenging and I'm hoping that I can juggle
it all.
Also, last week I was able to by a shirt in a size 1X and 2 pairs of workout shorts (spandex) in a size 2X. I have not been able to fit into a 1X shirt in God knows how long and for the day of my surgery I bought a pair of pants (spandex) and I had to get them in a size 3X b/c that was the only size that fit me comfortably. I can definitely feel that I've lost weight in my clothes but I cannot see it when I look at myself in the mirror or when I compare myself now to some of my older pics. I hope that my eyes will catch up with the number of pounds I've lost or will lose soon, lol.
My band is working for me now and I hope and pray that it continues to work for me because I'm definitely working for my band!!!! My new motto is "if you work for it, it will work for you"!!!!!!
