Three week update on BPD/DS revision 2/27/10
Feb 27, 2010
Hi, everyone, I have finally mustarded up the energy to give you an update on my revision from RNY to BPD/DS. I am doing fine. It's been exactly three weeks post surgery and I am doing great. I have loss 40lbs, started pre-surg at 309lbs, and today I am 269lbs. I still have some gas/bloating and stools are not formed yet but I'm not in any pain and I can eat regular food now, of course no sugar, pop, or high carbs. I have been following the program to the letter and it is paying off. I get my protein in and water as well as all of my vitamins (A, D3, multi +Iron, and calcium citrate, I also take an additional Iron pill with vit C because of my anemia pre-surgery). I know that I will reach my goal this time of 170lbs, and I am so looking forward to it...I will keep you posted of my progress and any problems I may run into...Please feel free to PM me or ask if you plan to go through this type of revision I will give you all the information I can through my experience...good luck and God bless everyone going through the revision and virgin surgery.

Considering Revision...
Dec 08, 2009
Hello everyone,
Is there anyone who can give me some information on having a revision done? I am strongly considering it and I am a little nervous about it. I had the RNY done back in 12/1995, I lost a total of 198 pounds, bringing me to 220 pounds. Over the 14 yrs I have since gained back 75 pounds. I do not want to get any bigger but I seem to be out of control, not to mention I never got the chance to reach my goal weight of 170 pounds, close but not there, and now I am gaining again...can someone pls help. Would you recommend the revision? and what can I expect after having the RNY revising to what? Any information would be helpful...Thank you...
