Hello all, I have struggled with my weight all my life. I had weight problems from 6th grade up. I have tried all the fad diets with no luck, some I would lose but gain it right back. My father, mother, sister and recently diagnosed brother has diabetes. I am next in line. I have a beautiful 11 year old girl and I want to be around a long time for her. My surgery is scheduled for September 9th, that is 2 days away and I am so excited (and scared). I am having the realize band. I did not have any trouble getting it approved through my insurance wih BCBS of NC. I want to thank everyone for their support and emails with advice.
My starting weight was 231. I have lost 11 pounds on the pre-surgery diet.
