Hi. Lets give this a whirl!! My name is Marjory Powers, and I am scheduled for rouxen y surgery on Sept 2,2008. I am so excited. I have always had some problems with my weight. The genetics gave me the body similar to my granny, my fathers mother. And should I say, its not a slim jim body!! Also, about 5 years ago, i started to notice that i didnt have as much energy as I used to and I certainly didnt like the person who staired back at me in the mirror. My motivation right now is my precious 6 month old grandson, Cale Reed Drexler. He is my heart and joy. I am anxious to beable to run and jump and play with him. And not only will I keep up, I will make HIM tired!!
My 2 daughters, Megan 22 and Courtney 19 are both support systems for me. As well as my mother. The all give me the courage and hope that I need. My mother will be with me at the hospital and with me for a few days after that when I go home. I truly owe her so much for this gift. I am also excited to start making new friends that are going through the same experience that I am. Until later....be safe and happy :0)
