Hi Maryalice,
Well, I don't know that much about angels either. They appear to be someone that sends copies of the surgery page with updated well wishes from the other on the web site and check in with your doctor to be sure that you are okay through surgery and keep track of you to be sure that you are okay and just give general support. I guess an angel is what you make one to be. I would think that a good angel would be one that is in the same are as you are so they can visit or come to you at some point but with today's electronic life I guess it isn't required.
Now, personally. I'm a recent widow. My husband of eighteen years died a couple of years ago and left me alone. I have no other family in the area, live alone and have very few close friends. But one thing I do know. You need support through this process. So get out there and find a support group. This is not the time to hang back and hope for someone to find you in the dark corner and coax you out. Get into a support network of some kind. A church group is also a good place to find people who care. I work weekends so I'm not able to attend services on Sunday, and regret the loss. But please, my friend, find a place, person or group that you have comfort and advice. This website is a start but it is not a substitute for a friendly voice on the phone or a helping hand in need. And while I'm handing out unasked for advice..when are you going to finish your profile... =)
