This is now four years out from my surgery and wowee, what a journey this has been.. Am now down to my goal weight and just finished having plastic surgery which included a total lower body lift.. healing nicely and even tho alot of pain am so glad to have had this done.. due to weight loss, had uneven hanging fat that was throwing me off balance and had fallen and dislocated my hip and knee.. after two more falls, the Tricare decided to have the surgeons remove the problem.. am so looking forward to the whole healing thing over with and walking again like normal folks.. did I say "normal"...? Can't say anyone has ever accused me ot that.. ha ha ha ha ha ha ...
Saw my wonderful bariatric surgeon, Dr, Berntsen in August and she had me have a laproscopic and scope on Sept 6th.. all went well and I am doing great.. still losing weight and this is a blessing too.. So glad that I had this surgery.. yes it has been a rough road and at times felt truly upset but still am grateful for my life, which I would not have if had not been for this life saving Roux-en-y..
I encourage anyone that is considering this to look into all the details and make sure it is right for you and then do IT for you.. not anyone else, just you..
