I was a very sick child, and at the age of 1 my father left the country to work  in anothe nearby European country in order to pay for my medical bills.  During my first 5 years of life, I was on all sorts of medications and viatamins...Then I had a few operations and the entire family moved to Toronto.  Here I started putting on weight.  By the age of 6 I was ball.  My parents were so thankfull that I was eating that they would just give me more, and anything I wanted. I recall at the age of 8 or 9, my mom would leave a dinner plate heaped with sandwiches that I would eat in 1/2 hour while watching the flintstones.  I was never really able to lose weight, although I have tried pretty much everything.  I am constantly hungry and although not a huge snacker I need lots of food to feel satisfied.  The other issue is I have always been lazy to excersize,...maybe because it is so difficult and it hurts.  My thinnest years, I was smoking close to 3 packs of cigarrets a day and replacing food with smokes.  When I stopped the weight came back, then I was diagnosed with diabetes, and then I started on insulin.  Complications have now started from the diabetes, and my entire body aches.  I am at my biggest 257 lbs I feel horrible and need to have this surgery but am terrified.
