It's May!!!!
May 05, 2010
I have had some struggles going to the gym. Thank goodness my husband motivates me!!!!
We have been hitting the gym at least three times a week. We had one week where we slacked off and we paid for it. It really is important to keep that gym thing going! I have a hard getting going but once I am there I love it!!
I have lost 47lbs so far and am on regular foods. That is proving to be the most difficult for me because I really have to watch the carbs - they are my weakness. We are supposed to get three servings of carbs a day but I choose to do only two and leave it at that until I really get a system in place. It is too soon for me. IMO!
Seeing the pounds come off is great! Haven't started to lift weights yet only doing cardio - I will get to the weights though.
Ta ta for now!!

Three weeks out
Mar 24, 2010
I am now three weeks out. I had a couple of rough spots where I could not get down my shake.
No matter what I did, I felt fine until I drank that shake and then I got naseous and
. I told the doctor and he moved me to pureed foods a few days early. I felt so much better!! I stopped feeling naseous. It's been a battle to keep myself hydrated enough though. I had a cold during that rough patch too which didn't help because cold and dairy of any sort don't mix. So glad that's over.

Post-op and pretty good!

I had my surgery on March 2, 2009. I was really nervous going in. I was pleasantly surprised when I awoke. I didn't have much pain! I had a Laproscopic Gastric Bypass. I thought I would be bed ridden and not able to move. My first walk the night after my surgery really did make me feel better. I am now five days post-op and I have been walk, walk, walking and sip, sip, sipping. Still getting used to knowing when I am full and trying to get everything in that I need to during the day.
Until later....
