"I first saw Dr. Lord at an informational meeting about WLS. He was well-spoken and very professional. I was impressed with his surgery statistics and with the entire Bariatric team. When I met him at my first appointment he seemed more soft-spoken and still very professional. Most important to me was the fact that he seemed very nonjudgmental about my weight. I didn't leave feeling like a failure, but with new hope. The office staff have all been friendly, professional and helpful. The program is very organized. My insurance approved my surgery the first time after my packet was submitted. Every member of the team encouraged me to call them any time I had questions or concerns. The monthly support group is not mandatory but helpful. The risks of surgery were well-defined in the initial packet and on the consent form. I was given the opportunity to review and to discuss the risks multiple times before surgery. I would rate the program 10/10 and have recommended Dr. Lord to several people since my surgery. Surgical competence and bedside manner were both great."
