1/15/07 I can not believe that it has been over a month since I have added to my blog. But life does get at us at times. I am down 40# and going in to my 7th week post op. Totally cool. I am just now starting to get my energy back. I have been back to work for about 3 maybe 4 weeks now. Things are well. I do have trouble eating and all my protein still comes from protein shakes and I do pleasure feeding in between. I have not had any nausea or vomiting a few episodes of dumping syndrome but thats all.

Okay on 12/4 I had my JP drain removed at the office. I have to say that the pain came in at number 2, with child birth being number 1. The pain in my left side has gotten better since the tube has been removed. I have been keeping my self busy but since I am still weak I do get tired faster. I have lost close to 20# in the past three weeks and loving it. I have not seen a great big change in my appearance except for my face and my mom says my butt looks smaller (lol).

I need this drain tube out like now. It hurts like the devil. I see Dr.gluck on 12/4

Hiddy ho everyone. I am back home from having surgery. I have staples on my abdomen and a drain that irritates the heck out of me. Everything went well. So far so good. I am just walking once every hour for about five minutes. It helps. I think the worst for me was the gas pain. I also have to remember that sometimes gas is not gas. I am also realy sleepy and trying to do things to stay awake and get my fluids in. I am currently working on a protein shake. After thus one I have 2 more to go. I had a sugar free CIB this am. I aim for 60+gms of protein daily. I take about 20gms at a time.

11/18/06 Yesterday was my worst day. I think it was because I did not drink enough fluids only my protien shakes. I was so hungery. People are right this is the hardest thing to do. I wieghed my self naked today just to get an acurate weight. I am down to 273# totally cool. I am just happy to get past that 280# I have not been able to get past. I would love to lose 23# before sugery but with only a week to go I do not see that happening.

Okay it has been 3 days since I have had solid food. This liquid protein fast is going to be the death of me.  I am so egar to have surgery just to get rid of the hunger LOL. I am tring to be creative with the protein shakes. I do think the chocolate tastes better.

11/13/06         Working seemed to help distract me somewhat from being huungery but not much. I felt like my blood sugar was on the low side (no did not check it). I think after a few days my body will adjust and things will be fine. I can not believe that my surgery date is just two weeks from today. Totally excited. I am the last surgery of the day.  I have yet to decide if I am going to keep my kids out of school that day. Of course they would love to skip school that day but we will see.

11/12/06 I am suppose to start my liquid fast on 11/13/06 but I am starting today. I have to work the next three days and I am going to use today to practice. I have been practicing the sipping at work and sometimes wonder how am I going to get all the liquids in. I got a plan for the protien but to get 64oz of fluid in during working is going to be tricky.
Totally excited. My sister in law suggested that I buy a size eight outfit and hang it where I do my excercises and us it for motivation especially during this 2 week fast. I just might do that. I do not think a size eight but maybe a 10/12 would do.

11/10/06 Okay so I have had a serum H.pylori done and an upper GI done. I have completed the liquid fast class and the 2hr pre op office visit. WOW just a few other appt to go. Liquid fast starts on monday. Very interesting..................

11/3/06 Got my appt. packet in the mail the other day. WOW what a list.
