I am a 5th grade teacher. After many years of yo yo diets, I have come to the realization that I MUST do something to help myself. I find myself bending over a student to help her with some class work. There is pain as I attempt to bend and then stand. That is just not right. I see many medical problems for my future if I do not do something to change my life course. Determined, armed with knowledge, and having witnessed other friends' success, I know what I must do. So I made my appointment and put the process into action. Now I am nervously excited. But I am 3 times as excited as I am nervous. April 3, 2007--this is my surgery date.
