Hello!
I am a wife to a very understanding and caring man and a mom to 2 sons,
ages 21 and 23.
I'm also very overweight and have been my whole life. I even remember my
Mom taking me to the doc and her asking him if my weight could be due to
my thyroid and the doc responded " Nope.......her cheeks are too rosy. She
just likes her meat and potatoes". Well hearing that at such a young age and
remembering that all these years....still bugs me. I think i was around 6 or 7
yrs old. I am now 46. I have always held on what seems the bad and hurtful
feelings and comments.
Well I have researched over and over and talked to many many people about
the RNY surgery. It took me 2-3 yrs. to finally decide this is what I want
to do.......what i Have to do. Now the time has come!!
I'm just STILL waiting for a date. I'm so frustrated about it.
I should have one by now. Hopefully soon!

Wow! They called me today with my date. June 7th.
One month from today i will start my journey on the loser's bench!
I'm excited and nervous all at the same time! But i know with all the support
from my family and friends i'll be just fine! A BIG THANK-YOU to all of you! :)

Well tomorrow is the big day! Getting a little nervous but I know I'll be fine.
Had lots of surgeries before but of course this one is Life Changing!
Looking foward to it being over and to gt started on my new life.
Tomorrow is also my brother's Birthday. Happy Birthday Beak~ <3

Had the surgery June 7th and all went well. So I am almost 1 month out already.
I had a gain of 17 lbs. due to fluid in the hospital but that's all gone now.......Thank God!
I have lost a total of 39 lbs. though minus the fluid. YEAH! When I stepped on the scales
at my nutritionist visit and it had shown a 30 lb loss........all i could do is cry. Tears of Joy
of course! I'll be going to my surgeon for another follow=up visit on Tues. 7/6 and cant
wait to see if i lost more. What a trip! LOL
