"I had my RNY surgery with Dr. Davis on 2/22/06. I am currently over 7 months post-op and am down 205 lbs. He is a great surgeon and was able to do my surgery LAP (at Columbia )even with my weight at 585 lbs. I went to the Center for Obesity Control at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville for my initial consultation and post-op care. I was pleased with the office staff at Lawrence, but just felt that they should guide pre-op patients through their testing instead of giving them a list of test to complete on their own. I did have one complication after surgery which was a blood clot. It happened three weeks out of surgery and it required a 9 day stay in the hospital. I was warned of this type of possible complication before surgery, but it didn't change my decision to go forward. Dr. Davis came by to check on my progress everyday during my stay. I would highly recommend using him for your surgeon and would definitely recommend waiting for an appointment to have your surgery performed by him at Columbia in NYC."
