Howdy One And All,
Well, I'm new here as you probly know. Lets see... I have been a big boy pretty much all my life and I have tried pretty much everything I can think of, seen ads of and even read about to try and loose weight over the years. Nothing really seem to work for one reason or another. My numbers may have varied 5 to 10 pounds at one effort or another and when I would think, hey, I am making some difference... BAM! I'd get a stick in the spokes and fail.. My PCP would tell me at every visit... you need to do something about your weight, this is where most of your problems have come from, BMI 46.3, type 2 diabetes, high BP and collesterol, bad hip and back pain, depression, sleep apnia and I say, ok, How? Well I finally started checking out WLS as an option. I read and read about it and the different type of ops. Then I put it on the back shelf for too long and one day I ran onto a rep at my Dr's office that happen to be there to promot a bariatric unit at a somewhat local hospital. I took a paper from him and went home and said to my wife, that's it I am calling to attend a session and on 9-4-12 I did just that. And on 9-7-12 I had my initial assessment day, also had my Labs done same day, then on 10-12-12 I had completed most all my test that were required for insur., which took all day it seemed, but worth it. I am looking to have the RNY Bypass surgery.  So now have a psych clearance to get and finish out 6 months of monitored weight nutrition classes for the insur I guess. But man that seems like soooo long... anyways I'll be here if anyone wants to chat, I look forward to getting to know you. I have read through some of your profiles and am very impressed as to your accomplishments and feel very energized about this, many thanks
Rob
