I finally had my surgery on the 21st of this month. What a long trip it's been! To tell you a little about myself would be to tell you of my family. I have been married to my husband Dan for almost 22 years. We have 3 children: Hannah (19) is a sophomore at Bowling Green State University majoring in Digital Arts, Luke (17) is a junior at Oak Hills High School and wants to study Computer Science in college (yup, we are already doing the tours of colleges), Sam (14) is a freshman at Oak Hills and my quiet one. All are honor roll students, and great all around citizens. To round out the family we have 2 dogs: Ozzie (Australian Shephard) and Gladys (Catahola Lephard) both are herding dogs and love to go on long walks and play catch.

I have always had to battle my weight but being active was never a struggle until I was in a car accident 3 years ago. I have not had a pain free day since. Due to my injuries I have had both of my knees operated on, and went through physical therapy, acupuncture, massage and epidural injection for my back and neck to get some pain relief from the herniated discs. Because of the injuries I took Celebrex which in turn messed up my kidneys, then right before my first knee surgery they discovered I have a blood disorder. I went from being someone who never went to the Dr. (unless having kids) to seeing to many specialist to count! I had Dr's telling me to lose weight to feel better but none of them could give me the plan to do it. I did every program out there to RX pills, South Beach, Chambridge...you name it I did it.

This surgery and Dr. Tom are the answers to my prayers. I am only 1 week post op.

I can't hardly wait for the future.
