It was a cold night back in February, and like most nights, I sat awake with my insomnia listening to Steve & Johnnie on the radio.  This night, they had a guest stop by to discuss the upcoming Chicago Auto Show.  Paul Brian, came on to discuss everything auto, but the subject that came up was Paul's amazing weightloss.  200 pounds in 2 years!  This got my attention as I have been fighting obesity my entire life.  He got to talking about his DS Surgery with Dr. Rabkin at PacLap.  Paul said this surgery has saved his life.  No longer even thinking about sleep, I jumped up and sent Paul an email.  In response, Paul gave me some information about PacLap and his cell phone number if I had any questions.  What a nice gesture!  I called him the next day interupting him from a marketing meeting where the sweet rumble of a BMW in the background caused both of us to stop and listen.  He invited me to meet him at the local PacLap DS support group meeting in Chicago.   It was a real thrill to attend, meeting Paul, Nicolle, Dr. Rabkin and many others.  Having a great group of people who can share their experiences with DS first-hand sold me on starting my personal journey torwards a life free of the limitations caused by my weight.
This is only the beginning.......
