Hello Sancho: I saw your notes on Obesity.com. I also had Dr. Gorrin out of South San Francisco Kaiser on January 30, 2006. Back in Decemberr 2004 at my annual physical my weight was 316lbs. In July when I went through Orientation my weight was 300.5 then a week before surgery I got down to 278 lbs. Currently 2 weeks out from surgery the other day I am down to 256.5. It can be a long process through Kaiser. But now looking at things I am glad I received all the education I did. i feel like I knew more then some of the nurses taking care of you in the hospital. You have come a long way. But remember do this for yourself and don't let anyone talk you out of it if this is what you really want. Hope all your wishes come true. Good Luck Let me know if you need anything......Suzan Gabin, San Mateo, California

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for your well wishes. In approximately 15 hours, my new life will begin. I am really excited, nervous, elated, relieved, etc., etc., etc. Just keep the prayers coming, if you please, as I will definitely need them. I praise the Lord for all of your loving words. See you on the loser's bench soon.....someone save me a seat! ;) ~Sancho

May the Lord plant a hedge of angels around you and give you an uneventful surgery. I am praying for you. “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; Surely, I will heal you.” (2 Kings 20:5)

Thank you so much for lighting the path. I was feeling sad about starting in September 2004; and I have not given up. You make the journey nicer for your posts and keeping in the game. Bless you on your WLS date, and wishing you well. Keep adding to this site for the people who will come after you, like me.

Sancho, I'm a middle aged (well, I do intend to live to 114) Grandma in Minnesota who had surgery 12-20-05. I just read your profile and I know you will be very successful with your weight loss surgery. You have grit and a fabulous support group. Wishing you a breeze of a surgery and see you soon on the losin' side. Corrine
