Up 20# from my lowest weight of 146# and three years post-op.

Jun 10, 2011

Well, here I am 3 years post op and up 16# from my goal weight of 150#.  I've started a new medication to better control my depression.  The medication is called Risperdal.  One of the side effects is weight gain.  I had put on about 10# before I started the medication and now I've put on another 10# since I've started it a month ago.  I've got to get back to basics, watch my diet, increase my exercise and stay focused on the long term of staying both physically and mentally  healthy.  It's a life long journey, I realize I won't lost my 16# overnight, but I am going to work hard to get back to my goal weight and maintain it.

Doc says I am at my goal weight.

Sep 30, 2009

They originally set my goal weight at 140#.  At my 18 month visit they took one look at me and said you are thin enough and don't lose anymore.  I weigh 150# now.  I'm just glad to be healthy and alive.

OMG...I fit in a size 8 jeans!!!

Mar 25, 2009

I have not fit in a size 8 jeans ever.  I have lost 105 lbs. and have 35 lbs. to go to my goal.  I can't imagine what I would like like at my goal weight of 140 lbs., I'm thinking I will look too thin and skeletal.  My weight loss has slowed but my body is still shrinking, I must be replacing lost pounds with gained muscle.
