"A bit cold but businesslike and competent. My meeting with Dr. O'Brian have been short. I have had no reason to change my impression of him. The staff seems to be competent and efficient. I would have liked to have been able to have longer meetings with him both before and after surgery. There is a structured aftercare program and patients are strongly advised to participate. He explaned what could go wrong, the remedial actions that might be necessary and the odds of different outcomes. I would let him do surgery on me again if I needed it. While bedside manner is nice I would put a higher value on surgecal competence."

"I was not being treated but I was being evaluated to determine if I was psychologically fit enough for surgery. She thought that I was. She also had some usefull sugestions on how I could change some of my eating habits."
