Hello everyone, I'm back, i apologize for being gone so long, I've been in college full-time. I'm now 10  months post-op and starting weight was 280 as of today I'm 165 lbs, my goal is 155 lbs so i have 10 more pounds to go hopefully to reach it befor my 1 year post-op. I'm going to try and post some pics but you guy's can also visit me on youtube, my name is funsparkle26.

hey people i have been away for a while as of today i have lost 75 pds for a minute i had gotten off track a couple of times but I'm good now i have had some problems with my iron but i think after my dr. putting me on a high dose of iron its ok now, i will soon post some pics of ne and remember to watch my vids on youtube my name is under funsparkle26  go under gastric bypass surgery and click on newest i havent made a vid in over a month but this week i will make a new one remember you guy's let keep supporting each other and takecare.

Hey beautiful people how has everyone been, well as you all know i had surg. on june 29,2009 my weight was 276lbs as of today i weigh 220 that is a total lost of 56 lbs, I'm so happy, however i did have a set back for 2 weeks i had gained 5 pds and i wasn't losing the weight so i got on youtube they gave me advice and i had support and encourage thanks to all my youtube friend i started back excersing eating healthy and i swear now i don't even have the craving to eat the unhealthy foods, but maybe a little bit here and there once a week but for about 2 weeks i have been losing 5 to 7 pds per week. I walk to mile 5 days per week and watch what i eat, i can literally see the weight just falling off and guess what my close are starting to fall off me especially my pants. I realize now i can move my body around better i can carry my weight more without feeling restless, i younger when i go to buy cigerettes now they want to I.D. me i can just go on and on, but guys i wish you all the best of luck and keep continuing on visiting me stop by youtube and watch my videos go to WLS PRE-OP CLICK ON FUNSPARKLE26 AND WATCH AND RATE MY VIDEOS LOVE YOU GUY'S TAKECARE.

Hello everyone i just wanted to let you guys know how I'm doing, so i had surgery on june 29.2009 evrything went great, about a week later i had gotten severly dehydrated bacause my pcp had prescribed me a high blood pressure pill that was a water pill as well so i was hospitalized for to days other that that i started exercising last week and i can already see changes in my body i have lost 30 pounds but i been at a stand still with my weight for a week. I walk 2 miles 2x or 3x per week,  I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys success with your weight loss as well watch my video's on youtube.com type in wls pre and post-op and click on funsparkle26 video please rate and comment friends love ya takecare.

SO TODAY I WENT FOR MY PRE-TESTING AND PRE-OP VISIT THEY TOOK BLOOD, EKG, WEIGHT, VITALS URINALYSIS, X-RAYS, AND I SPOKE WITH THE NURSE AND ANESTHESIOLOGIST, (OK I HOPE I SPELLED THAT RIGHT) WELL ANYWAY I SAW MY SURGEON AND HE EXPLAINED TO ME THE PROCEDURE THAT WAS GOING TO TAKE PLACE, ALSO HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS, I ASKED FOR AN EPIDURAL BEFORE SURGERY BECAUSE I'M NOT GOOD WITH PAIN, WELL UNFORTUNATLEY THEY ONLY USE THAT FOR OPEN GASTRIC. I ASLO REQUESTED TO GET THE "I DON'T CARE MEDICINE" BEFORE GOING INTO SUGERY SO I WONT FREAK OUT, HE SAID THAT WAS FINE, OVERALL EVRYTHING SEEMS TO BE GOING WELL I HAVE 4 DAYS UNTIL SURGERY AND I'M READY FOR THIS NEW BEGINNING, I'M GOING TO DO LAST MINUTESHOPPING AND CHECK BACK WITH YOU GUYS LATER THANKS FOR ALL OF YOU ALL SUPPORT MUCH LOVE NITRICIA!

HEY EVERYONE I FINALLY DID SOME SHOPPING AT WALLMART FOR SOME THINGS TO GET PRE AND POST OP I JUST STARTED MY PRE-OP DIET JUNE 22, 2009 THW WHEY PROTEIN SHAKE REALLY TORE UP MY STOMACH BUT TODAY IT SEEMS TO BE DOING A LOT BETTER, I HAVE A SHAKE FOR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH AND THEN A SENSIBLE DINNER. i GO FOR MY PRE-TESTING AND PRE-OP CONSULT AT HARPER HOSPITAL JUNE 24, 2009 I WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED ON HOW THAT GOES UNTIL THEN TAKECARE.

Ok so as you know i got denied throught my secondary ins. to pick up the 1,068 dollars so i filed an appeal, i was so depressed and frustrated this week i just couln't take it, i bsaid it had to be some other way i should be able to get this surgery, so instead of me waiting 30-90 days for an decision to be made through the appeal i filed i decided to talk to the finance depart. @ the hosp. they told me i could make payment arrangements after surgery if the secondary ins. comp wouldn't pick up the 20% left, but by all means they would still bill my ins after surgery to see if they would pay for it, well let me get to the point guess what they borded my surgery for june 29,2009 monday, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!Anyway i know that was to much but that is how excited I am right now, anyway i would like for you friends to send me support and messages on what i need to know, i have to go on this pre-op diet moday 6/22/2009 they e-mailed me from the hosp. for pre and post- op but i couldn't pull it up,  I'm going this weekend to wallmart to go shopping on things i  will need for my journey send me mess. for some great idea's.

Hello everyone! Well today i got up this morning and had an eyelash appoint. with my friend, we sat and chit chat for a little, after that i decided to do a little grocery shopping for my family  came home fixed lunch for my son and nephew,  then i came in my basement to do some laundry and what do i see my laundry room is leaking water from the walls onto my floor it has ruined my clothes and boxes that i had packed with items i was so upset because i had already told my landlord about this before so i called her boy did she sound dissappointed, i found out from a friend that i more than likely have a foundation problem that will costs thousands, well i see why she sound dissappointed that had put a burden on my day i started about when Am i going to get approved for wls or Am i going to get approved and just really became discouraged i was doing just fine, so i decided to browse through other peoples pages on O.H.  and I'm aspired all over again everyone on here is so positive and you guys really do encourage me I'm going to stay strong and not let anything get in the way everyone keep up the great work on your journey and i will come back soon, bye!

HELLO EVERYONE TODAY IS JUNE 6,2009 SATURDAY,  IT HAS BEEN A VERY LONG WEEK FOR ME TRYING TO STAY PATIENT AND WAIT FOR MY INSURANCE TO CALL ME WITH AN APPROVAL FOR MY SURGERY., I CALLED TWICE LAST WEEK TO FIND OUT IF MY INSURANCE COMPANY EVEN STARTED ON MY PAPERWORK. SO TO TRY AND OCCUPY MY MIND WITH OTHER THINGS INSTEAD OF DRIVING MYSELF KRAZY ABOUT THIS WHOLE WAITING PERIOD, I WENT SHOPPING THIS WEEKEND  I DECIDED TO FINALLY BUY A WEBCAM, AND GUESS FOR WHAT! TO POST VIDEOS REGARDING MY JOURNEY WITH HAVING WLS I ALSO BOUGHT MY SON A GAME FOR HIS XBOX 360,  STOCKED UP ON HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS JUST IN CASE I DO GET APPROVED FOR SURGERY SOON AND ALSO WHICH THIS IS A MUST INDEED, GOT A PEDICURE AND MANICURE THEN I CAME HOME AND SET UP MY WEBCAM  I WAS ALL EXCITED, AND I POST A VIDEO ON YOUTUBE INREGARDS TO HAVING WLS,  SO FRIDAY WENT BY FAIRLY QUICK, TODAY I WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND WAS IN A GOOD MOOD FROM THE DAY BEFORE OF DOING SHOPPING AND OUT AND ABOUT, I DECIDED TO TAKE MY FAMILY OUT TO DINNER AND VISIT MY MOM AND BROTHER, MY SON WANTED TO SPEND TIME WITH HIS GRANDMA AND UNCLE SO HE WILL BE STAYING OVER THERE FOR THE WEEKEND, NOW IM BACK AT HOME DID SOME HOUSE CLEANING AND DECIDED TO POST A BLOG. Hello everyone,  on friday i called the bariactric nurse to get an update on what was next because i had turned in all of my paperwork, she said everything that i submitted to them will go over to there processing department and then it will be sent off to my insurance company. This is really the hardest part for me because i wont know anything until the 3rd week of June,  but i have decided to call my ins. comp once or twice a week to get an update on how everything is going. I swear i just can't stop thinking to myself about this whole ordeal, I'm anxious, nervous, excited , worried i just have all these mixed feelings that I'm trying to control because i know that this is an important part of my life, I have also been trying to prepare myself and family on how this will change our lives, my 8 year old son doesn't really know whats going on so i told myself i will talk to him about this when i get the approval for surgery.  I was hoping someone could send me a message and let me know what happens after you get approved for the surgery. My plan for today is to go out to wallmart or bestbuy and try to find a web camera, i never used one before, but i have seen people on youtube post video blogs from there home and in the hospital before and after surgery, can anyone tell me the best web camera to get i have a 2007 gateway windows vista computer.
