On Friday I got a well deserved phone call. After months of dietary appointments with my general doctor (she was a peach to deal with when it came time for a letter of recommendation), a sleep study, and an EGD I finally got the news I have wanted to hear.  I have been approved for my surgery and I couldn't be happier. From the time it was submitted to my insurance company it only took a week and a half, could I be dreaming? After the wash of relief left my body the nervousness set in....this is huge, I mean huge. Everything as I know it is about to change, my eating habits (of course), my relationships, and how I perceive myself. It is a lot to take on, but I am ready for this. So I have my history and physical, dietitian, and physical fitness appointments in a week and before you know it...surgery time on 2-19-09!! Everything is moving so quickly now and I'm sure by next week I will be growing impatient waiting for the surgery. I am so excited!
