Hello my dear AMOS FAMILY!! One week ago today I was preparing to go into the OR and here I am sitting here 7 days later, feeling great!! I just want to let you all know that I am down 18 lbs and 11.75 inches in my body!!! WOW I still cannot believe it.The pain is getting much more tolerable now and I can walk around more w/o getting the sweats and dizziness. But, I am constantly thinking and talking about food LOL. Its funny kinda. I am still on liquids and really miss being able to chew something. However, I keep telling myself that time will come and then I will be able to begin experiementing with "real" foods. PATIENCE, PATIENCE LOL. My bandages come off Tuesday and then I think I will also get clearance to try other things. Purreed, I think, but I just can't wait to eat some COTTAGE CHEESE and a HARD BOILED EGG!! I want to add a little Italian dressing to it and pretend I am eating a scrumptious salad lol. Well, good luck to all of you and have a wonderful day!! ))))))))))))))BIG HUGS((((((((((((((

Hello all you wonderful people, its me reporting in!! I am now 5 days post op and I am feeling great except, for some pain still in my tummy. I still need help sitting down and getting up, but I feel great when I am sitting still LOL. I am having no nausea(thank goodness) and am eating chicken broth, protein shakes, jello and popsicles. I had my first BM last night and that went better than I expected LOL. So far, I have gone down 15 lbs and lost 2 1/2 inches in the waist. WHOOHOO!! My hubby will be home atleast for another 3 weeks and my mom here for another month 1/2 so, I am being pretty well taken care of and the kids also. I do have one question about the flintstone vitamins. Should I buy the complete, the iron, the calcium or what? Confused, all I know is I have to take 3 a day. Well, I want to send my blessing to all of you preparing for surgery soon and bless all of you in your wait for approval, it will happen!! Thanks to all of you who been there for me, gosh knows I sure needed ALL of you LOL. God Bless all of you. Oh Annie get with me when u can, am concerned. :)

Hello all!! I am back home!! I can't believe that I am 2 days post op now. I was 269 when I went in and was 259 when I left this morning, but I have alot of pain. I couldn't walk around until this morning. Yesterday I was in sooooooo much pain, I kept thinking about all of you who had said you walked right away. NO Not me,LOL I also had that feeling of what in the world did I just do to my body. But of course the pain is not so bad today. And I am feeling better about the whole thing. I feel great except for the pain in my stomache. I can't quite stand straight yet. Still kind of in a ball. Well, this is all I can post for right now, I need to go lay down for a while. Well I wanted to thank all of you who talked to my husband, who called the hospital and sent me your special notes of encouragement. I hope this all makes some sense still on some pain meds lol.Talk soon.
