I have my surgery date for December 9th. I am so excited and yet nervous at the same time. From my frist visit with my doctor until I had my date took me about 3 months. I have my pro-op appointment on Monday. So I get to find out what I need to do prior to surgery. I will update later.

I got a call from my doctor and she cancelled my surgery. My thyroid levels are not right and she stated that I have go back to my PCP and get my thyroid under control. This is going to delay my surgery several month. What a huge let down. I can't believe I got so close, just to have it taken away. I went to my PCP and had some more tests done so that I can find out what is wrong and get put on some medication. I will update again soon.

Well I am back on track for my surgery. I am having mine on 2/14/2005. Can't wait to get started!!!

I am home and banded. It was not bad at all. I went to the hospital about 5:30 am and went into surgery at 7:30. The surgery itself took about 1 hour but I did not get to my room unitl about 11:00 am. Got up this morning and did my swallow test and was then able to drink. That was the best part, being able to take a drink of water. I am on liquids for now but will go to mushies next week. I am so happy to be banded and on my way to losing weight.

I went for my post-op appointment today and everything went great. I have lost 15 lbs. I know I will not continue to lose at this rate but I'll take it. I am on to mushies for a few weeks. I have been getting a little bit hungry in the evenings. As soon as I can start my exercise program again, it should help. I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks.

I went to the Dr yesterday and have been moved to regular foods.
I lost another 3 lbs, total in 3 weeks 18 lbs. I go back for a fill on 3/30/05. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, I went for my first fill today and it did not go to well. Not that it hurt or anything like that. But my doctor was unable to get the needle in the port so she is going to by x-ray. So I will have to wait a while to get my fill. But I did lose 3 more pounds, for a total of 21 lbs. I started back to curves this week, so maybe I can boost my weight loss up to 2 lbs a week.

I had my first fill today and all went very smooth. The Dr. put me on mushies for 2 days, so I will find out in a few days how well it worked. Also I have lost another 4 lbs, for a total of 25 lbs. I go back to the Dr. in 7 weeks and I will let you know what happens.

I had a second fill of .5cc and can really feel the differece. I have now lost a total of 50lbs and 2 sizes in my clothes. I am really starting to see the loss and I feel so much better. I do get frustrated sometimes trying to eat the right foods, but I am happy that I have done this well.

Went for another check up with my doctor. I choose not to have another fill at this time. I like to amount of restriction that I have, I am sure in a few months I will need another adjustment. Well I lost 15 lbs since my last visit for a total of 57lbs.

I went to the Dr. today. I am now up to 70lbs lost. I did get a little fill and all went well. I am so happy with my progress. My goal is to be down 100lbs by 2/14/06. I will update again in 6 weeks. I almost for got to tell you, I was able to go off one of my blood pressure pills!!!!

Today was another follow-up with my Dr. I am down another 6 lbs, not as much as I had hoped, but it is ok. I am still at 1.75 in my band and will get another adjustment at my follow-up in January. Here are a few more great stats, my BMI is down by 12 points and I have dropped over 4 sizes in my clothes!!!

Well I made it through the holidays and did not gain weight. For the first time ever I lost weight over the holidays. It was not much but I was happy with 4lbs lost. I am offically at 80lbs now and it does not look like I will make a 100lbs by my 1 year. So I have set a new goal for next month, 90lbs total. I know I can lose 10lbs in one month if I work really hard. I will take another picture and post once I get to my 1 year mark.

Hi, everyone. I have not updated in a long time. Sorry. I am finally at 100lbs lost. I am still at 2 cc in my band and like it right where it is. I am doing great and enjoying life. I go back to my doctor at the end of this month.

Hello eveyone. Here I am again with a little update. I am at 115lbs lost and 50 to go. I have recently gotten in to exercise on a daily basis and it has made a big difference. I have a personal trainer and she said she could get me to my goal by the end of this year. I want to make it there before my 2 year anniversity in Feb 07. Life is good, I am now in a size 16, have not seen that in many years. I will be going back to the Dr. next month and will update again. I wish everyone the best during thier journey

Just checking in again. I have now lost 135lbs and working very hard to get another 30lbs off. I am starting to look into plastic surgery, but with insurance not wanting to cover this, I don't know if it will be possible.

I am now down 150lbs and getting very close to goal. Life is good and I am doing well. It's hard to believe sometimes that it has been over two years since surgery. I remember in the beginning that I thought two years would never pass, but here and I am glad that I have made it. Now for the next step, keeping it off and staying healthy.
