Last week (1/3/07) I spent the whole day at the doctors'!! Pre-admissission testing and the history/physical.
All I have to say is that arterial blood gas hurt like hell... the first tech missed twice and then this big burly teddy bear named Kelly came over & got it first shot...AMEN!
So next step....surgery on the 17th....deep breathe & relax. I have been getting a little anxious.
Keep me in your thoughts. My last work day is Sunday the 14th.

On Wednesday my husband and I met with Dr. Martin (very nice) and then went to the 4 hour nutrition class. WOW! So much info to absorb.
It was great, there was a gentleman there who had surgery 2 1/2 years ago and he was very happy to answer any questions , in addition to the hospital staff.
I learned allot and so did my DH.
Well...January 2, 2007 testing date and final appt before surgery.

Well, on the 20th I go and meet the surgeon face to face, no nurse practitioner, no group. My husband will be coming along because it is mandatory. We will then go to a 4 hour nutrition (pre/post) session. I am not sure how long he will sit still for the counseling session but he is eager to meet Dr. Martin.
