I had my second visit with Dr. Storey on Tuesday.  Somehow they had misplaced my chart but hopefully they will have found it by my next month's appointment.  I had lost a whole 4 pounds....OK...I wasn't trying!  Dr. Storey wants me to keep a food journal this month and bring it to him when I return.  He told me that there was a problem with the hospital and my insurance but that he would get it taken care of by the next week.  He did not elabourate to what the problem was...but I sure hope he gets things cleared up.  I go back to see him in a month.  He also wants me to go see the physciatrist too.

My dad had a stroke early last week and is doing good right now.  I have been spending alot of time up at the hospital each day.  I am so scared of losing him.  He has been the only parent I have ever had growing up. 

I went to my dietician appt.  Her name is Cheryl Strobel.  I didn't think I would ever get there! I ended up being nearly 90 minutes late!  I had a very hetic day that morning and wasn't feeling well to begin with.  My two kids kept fighting all the way across town and I ended up turning down the wrong street and it took me way out of the way.  I had not been to Pasadena, TX in about 30 years so I was really lost!  Ms. Strobel was very nice about it and worked me in later that day.  Her office people were very helpful and patient with me as I know I must have called them 6 times all upset...especially with myself.  They helped me get turned back around and finally to get going back in the right direction. 

Ms. Strobel and I didnt get to spend alot of time going over everything that we would have but she went over the basics and gave me some papers to go over on calorie control and meal planning, lists of foods I will need to include and ones to avoid.  She gave me info on the portion sizes I would be using once I have the WLS and also a sample meal plan.

My next appointment with her is in 2 weeks.
