Well, it has been a long journey, but I finally had my surgery a few days ago (June 24, 2009).  I been home (home-sweet-home) since Saturday and things have been going well.  I'm not hungry but am fighting the desire for a different 'texture'...anything besides drinking liquids...LOL.  Just the option to chew on a cracker or something would be awesome!  But liquids it is.  Surprising, the Isopure has a good taste and offers a lot of flavors.  Today, I purchased popsicle molds and froze the Isopure just to be able to chew something...so far so good!

Well, today is the first day of the rest of my life.  My PCP referred me to a sugical weight loss program in an effort to address other health related issues.  This has really been a wake up call for me and so I've decided that today is the day that I'll take the first step towards a healthier me.
