Two Year Post
Oct 14, 2009
I was just thinking about the fact that before wls I hated taking pictures. Now, I will pull out the camera and ask my family or friends to take pictures of me, lol
Losing weight, changing your life, your thoughts and other things certainly has an impact on your life style.
I am meeting with my doctor later this month to discuss removing the extra skin and firming the stomach area and breast area. Hopefully, he will agree with me and schedule the surgeon consultation.
I am also working on increasing my exercise, it is my plan to walk in the upcoming Long Beach Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day, wish me luck and pray for me.
Lastly, I experienced a very heavy loss in September (my parents when to heaven). In the past when I hurt or worried about something, my refuge would have been food. However, because of my life change with wls and much, much support from wl friends I know that returning to old habits is not the answer. I thank all my oh friends for your prayers and good thoughts for me and my family.
What A Blessing
Jun 21, 2009
What a blessing!
Having the weight loss surgery has been the best thing I have done for myself. I thank God for this life changing event and I will forever be blessed for this experience.
I just celebrated my "50" birthday and I am feeling good and looking good!
I lost over 105 pounds and I am still working on my goal of 150 pounds and size 14-16. Currently wearing size 18 and I think I'm cute, lol
If you are considering the surgery or waiting to have the surgery, don't give up or give in to family and/or friends' pressures. Get the information you need, talk to weight loss patients and get the facts for yourself. You too will be blessed in the experience.
Still Alive & Losing
Dec 30, 2008
I am still working my tool and loving the weight loss. Currently wearing a size 18 and just started exercising again, it's been so hard to make time for it. I am currently going to water aerobics at California Pool in LBC and it's been great for me. I want to start looking into plastics for my stomach, I love my new look but need to get rid of the skin hanging down towards my knees, lol
Be safe,
Just Checking In
Jul 14, 2008
Yes it's been a very long time since I checked in. I have been very very busy, but still working on my weight loss. I love the fact that my clothes size changed from 34 to size 18, but I need to exercise to help the weight loss speed up. Thank you to everyone that sent messages and notes to me, I have not forgotten my friends at OH, just been too busy with work, children and grandchildren.
LOVE YOU ALL
3 Month Check-up
Dec 25, 2007
Otherwise, I am doing well, I love the fact that my clothes are too-BIG, before surgery I was wearing 5X and now I'm down to 2x

I want to lose more weight and I know I need to increase the exercise, but it's been so hard for me to accomplish that goal. I don't have any regrets, I would have the surgery again.
As this year comes to a close, I thank God for allowing me another opportunity to lose weight and make my life a happier and more healthier one. God bless you you all and have a very happy New Year!
8 weeks out
Nov 04, 2007
, but everything is going okay. I have tried to get more exercise in my routine, been going to the gym and using the machines and also returned to curves. I want to lose another 30 pounds before next dr's appt. in December. I had a great wow moment, I actually wore a 2x brouse and it was great! I have not wore 2x in 20 years

First Month Check-up
Oct 13, 2007
. The doctor told me to start water aerobics and weight training. I have been somewhat lazy, not really exercising, but I want to lose the weight. My labs were okay, I am taking my vitamins everyday
. I am so happy that I had WLS. My only regret is getting rid of so many of my clothes
.
Two-Week Check-up
Sep 13, 2007
Today was my 2-week check up and I am feeling bloated and alittle nausea, otherwise all is well. I was told to do stage 4 diet (cottage cheese, egg, cream of wheat or rice,
etc.) I am drinking lots of liquids but not much protein, but tomorrow I will attempt to make my protein shake and see if I can keep it down. After all that, the good news is I lost 15 pounds
OMG!! I know you have heard it before...OMG!!

Hello Everyone,
Yes, OMG, it's done, I'M A LOSER, LOL
I have not felt this must pain since my first childbirth 27 yrs ago, lol. But all is well. I had a little problem with blood pressure and fever, but on yesterday they both went away. My surgery sister Kenipela05 was there also and she did great and went home today. So please stop by her page and show her some Cali love. I am trying to sit at the computer eat my ice chips, but having a few pains. Thank you for all the prayers, messages and words of encouragement, I needed them. There is no way you can do this surgery without some support, no way. I am so grateful that one of my sister went to San Diego with me and stayed in the hospital with me everyday to make sure everything was done and I was feeling better. Let's support each other not only in words but in works! Love you all
