10 Days and Counting Til Surgery

YIKES!!! I'm nervous and excited all together. This has been such a long time in coming. I was scheduled for the Lap Band in October, 2006, but during pre surgical stress test they found blockages. I had to undergo angioplasty where they put in a drug coated stent. I don't know if any of you have one, but I had to be on Plavix (a drug thinning medication) for a minimum of 1 year (due to possibility of stroke with the stent) before I could go off the medication to have any surgery.
I was previously approved by Horizon BC/BS in 2006. But when I needed to get approval again, I was denied. After screaming at Horizon for 2 hours (they transferred me to 8 people on the phone before I found one that actually knew what she was doing). I finally got my approval again and am scheduled for the lap band surgery on Friday, March 14... less than 2 weeks away.
I'm nervous, I'm scared, I'm excited, I'm eager...... I'm so many things right now. I'm almost 54 years old, with a 12 year old son, heart problems... and I'm going in for surgery!!!! AM I CRAZY HERE?? No... I know I'm not, but I'm scared.
