Hello everybody, hope all is well. I had my surgery on Wednesday and everything went well. I came home on Friday and am still pretty sore. I eat as I can and am trying to get in my protein and water. Thanks so much for your prayers and love!!!! More to come.....

Hello, everyone...hope all is well. Left church today knowing that this is the right thing for me and God has his hands all over it. God makes all things new and it's time for a new me. I have existed for the last two and a half years and I'm ready to start living again. It's my turn and through the grace of GOD I will be successful with this tool he's provinding me. Hello, everyone, hope all is well. I'm so excited 6 days and a wake up left. I preregistered with the hospital today and was told to expect a call from the nurse two days before my surgery to find out what time I need to show up the morining of. I am fit to be tied...lol!!! Thank GOD for allowing me this opportunity to make a new me.

Hope all is well with everyone. Well, my surgeon's office called today and they rescheduled my surgery for the 17th. At first I was upset but I know things happen for a reason and God is working it out. I still have my head high. On a good note, I lost 6lbs last week on my preop diet
! Yeah me!!!! I still have one more week and I can do this. I started drinking the Atkins protein shakes today and they weren't that bad, pretty tolerable actually. Well, until next time.....

Hope all is well with everyone! Well, today I really lost my mind. My hair is really long, it was the one thing I had to hold on to. It was my "attention" getter. Seems noone noticed my weight if I wore my hair down. Well, I went to the beauty shop today and had it all cut off, where it doesn't even touch my shoulders! My family is still in shock but they'll get over it. The lady I went to takes care of hair so I mentioned I would need someone to care for mines bc I was having surgery. She came back at me with all these questions...did they tell me this or that. First, I started getting defensive but then I could tell from the questions she knew a little too much. So, she stopped and said look at me, and she looked awesome mind you, does it look like I had surgery? I answered no and she said I did, three yrs ago!!!!!!! What a coincidence!!! And she had plastics done and her insurance payed for it all and we have the same insurance!!! God is good. I was so happy to have found someone who's been through this journey that could properly care for my hair. She shared everything with me and I was very thankful for that. Shouts out to Hope--owner of Hope for Your Hair!!

Hope all is well with everybody....well I'm on day three of my 2 wk pre-op diet and things are getting easier. Don't get me wrong, I still think about what I could be eating but I get on here and look at the before and after photos and they put everything back into perspective. I want this so bad and I'm willing to do what it takes. My journey is just beginning, that's what I keep telling myself. I know one thing, this high protein, low carb diet is definately keeping me cleaned out...lol!! (TMI?) Anyway, just wanted to post an update. Goodluck to everybody...until next time.

Hope all is well with everyone. I called my surgeon's office today to get details about the day of my surgery. Well, his receptionist tells me she has been trying to confirm my surgery date but had been unable get me scheduled. My heart sank bc I had already given my family all the info and my mom took off to come stay with me. So I told her to please make it happen. She called back about 4hrs later and said she was able to get me booked but at a different hospital which is actually closer to where I live! Thank GOD!!
On to my diet, so I came to the conclusion that this was going to be a trying two weeks. I went to the grocery store and bought alot of chicken, baked fish fillets, and turkey legs. I cooked enough for the week, along with green beans and will do it that way. I pray I can do this. I know by precooking my meals it will make it alot easier. Pray for me. I am determined and I will conquer this......

Hope all is well with everyone. So, I was suppose to start my pre-op diet today and it didn't happen. I see a long hard two weeks ahead of me. I just pray for strength. I know having WLS will be the beginning of a new beginning for me so I better get it together. Thanks for listening.

I went for my pre-op today and things were good. Had a long discussion on the risks of the sugery but I wasn't too concerned because I gave it to GOD when I first started this journey. About an hour after I left, I got a call with a tentative sugery date of September 15th. I'm so happy and excited!!!!!!
