My story begins probably a lot like the rest of yours, growing up a little heavy and always on the dieting roller coaster.  In fact for my ninth birthday, I got to get my ears pierced because I lost 8 lbs. Pretty sad.  Well my story changes around my 30th birthday.  I was a a Special education teacher working with K-2 and loving it.  I was also married with a 3 and 5 year old. Besides being overweight, I had always been healthy till that summer, and my health started getting worse and finally in November the doctors diagnosed me with MS. It has almost been three years since that diagnosis, but I have found a good treatment.  Mobility and fatigue have become obstacles I deal with.  Insurace will not approve my surgery.  We have been trying to fight it for a year.  In fact I just had to retire from teaching, because I couldn't handle it either.  That was a huge loss to me. I am scared and excited at the same time about this surgery.  I just want to be there for my kids.  Say a prayer..surgery scheduled this Wednesday!
