Hello, My name is Janisha. I can honestly say that my journey was one that most people dream of. I went to the Obesity Surgery Center's seminar on Gastric Bypass and Lap-band in June. I gave them all my insurance information and in July they called and told me I was approved to have Gastric Bypass surgery. Then on August 14, 2007 my life took a turn for the better. I had my surgery and now I am ready to embark on this new journey in my life. I was 310 lbs pre-op and now 2 years later I am 135 lbs lighter. I can truly say that having the surgery is a blessing. I have been battling my weight since I was 16. Now with the help of the gastric bypass, exercising and eating right. I think I have finally won the battle.
