"My first impression of my surgeon was very relaxing and reassuring that he is a good surgeon. I met him and his assistant, Fran, they both seemed very nice. Their staff members seemed to be helpful, courteous, and extremely patient with me. I had only met them the one time for a consultation. Fran, his assistant told me about the support groups for the preoperative and postoperative patients. She hold told me about the aftercare that is required and how important it is to follow all the instructions. She also gave me an appointment sheet that I have to take with me everytime I have an appointment with an nutritionist, psychological or even with my primary physician. She also said that I have to do a sleep study overnight for my sleep apnea. She did address the risks of surgery and she had asked me which procedure would I like to have done. I told her the gastric bypass. I am now more relaxed because all of my questions were answered."
