"I feel in love with my doctor right away. As he explained the surgery, the pros and cons, the reason I should, etc. I just shed tears. I felt as if he was really concerned about me. He didn't try to make me feel bad, but he let me know, he wanted me to live. His staff was very friendly, as well as helpful. After my first scheduled surgery date, I got cold feet and made another appointment to meet with him. Dr. Cleveland didn't have a problem with it at all. He answered every one of my questions without hesitation. He also was very frank and honest about complications, even the possibility of death. The only thing that needs more help is getting a support group formed locally. I'll update more after I have surgery. My surgery is scheduled for May 14.....I'm very scared and really need some support. My surgery was uneventful. I had no complications. Mt doctor was wonderful. He met with my family the morning if the surgery and that was very important to me. The surgical staff was wonderful, but the hospital need to work on other staff members when it comes to dealing with obese patients."
