9 MONTH UPDATE
Jun 02, 2010
Hi
I can' t believe it has been 9 months!
I have lost 112lbs and have 15 more to make my goal!
At this point, I know my weight loss and my new size can shock people. It makes me uncomfortable when people dont recognize me, after all I am still the same person!!! I do not want to make others uncomfortable.
I am waering a size 10 which shocks me. I always dreamt about being a regualr size 14, but a 10...jeez! Dr V says I will put on about 10% back over a 2 year period so I will lose at least another 15 - 25lbs!
I am working out 4 days a week and have gone running 3 miles at a clip. I think I could survive a 5K. I strted playing tennis again which feels good.
My eating has been going well as I still have at least 30 grams of protein supplement each day.
I look forward to my 1 year anniversary!

5 month update
Jan 31, 2010
Well it was 5 months on Jan 25th. I feel great!! SO much energy, excercising hard core 4 days a week...
I am down 79lbs and my goal is to lose 40 more. It seems like that is far away, but I will do it one pound at a time.
My goal is to stay the course. A year from now will be the first indicator of my long term maintainance. I want to be truthful with myself. I know that excercise is for life and that I will never be "normal)

HI
I have decided to join my husband Chris on the Loser's Bench. Ayear ago I would have said it would not be for me. But, after learning the ins and outs, the good and bad about RNY, I decided that this can only be a positive thing for us as a family. I have been overweight my entire life, but not this overweight till after our 2 wonderful kids! I am a relatively active person who plays tennis and could walk 4 miles..... but I am destined for health problems if I dont do something long-term as I have just turned 46.
This is all about me right??? Yeah... but not really.. its all about being there for my kids and of course CHris. I am excited and lloking forward to AUgust 25th. I am really spending a lot if time picturing myself in a size 12. It will feel sooo good, but I know the work that will be spent getting there. I also have exerienced first hand the efforts and struggles that Chris has faced, so I am not kidding myself!
This is not a silver bullet for sure!!! But I will take the tools and runn like Forest Gump!!!
