I just opened my letter from the insurance.  I was declined approval. 
I have no words to describe how I feel right now.  My thoughts are- - -
I am so disappointed.   What am I going to do? 
I really believe that the Lap Band would help me.  OMG!

Hello,  I got an update from the surgeons office on 7/17 stating that she got my records and she has mailed them to BC/BS.  YAY!

I decided to check on the status last week.  I learned that nothing had been faxed over.  I called my DR.'s office and they told me that my file was still pulled out and that it would be faxed.  I decided to check again today.  I called but she never came to the phone after I held for 6 min.  I then emailed her but I did not get a response.  Hopefully she was just busy today and will reply tomorrow.  I am still positive about it all and reminding myself that I want this and I will do what it takes to make it happen.  Well that is all for now. 

Hello everyone,

I went to my Primary Care yesterday for blood work and the approval letter.  Everything looks well.  It should be faxed over to the Dr. Miles Office today.  
Come on BCBS!!!Pray for my increase in Faith.

I never thought that I would be planning a weight loss surgery.  I gained weight over the years but never thought I would find myself here.  I have gone through the emotional ups and downs of it all.  I found that it was not easy to loose weight.

I first heard about the lapband over the radio one morning on my way to work.  Mohammad Ali's oldest daughter was on the Tom Joyner show talking about her experience.  I then decided after a few days to look it up.  I remember thinking "that looks safe".  Well, I did some research, a little at a time and came to the decision that this was for me.  This was spring of 2007.  

I planned to discuss it all with my Primary Care Physician when I went for my annual.  I always mention my weight every year but I don't think he was taking me serious.  My weight was slowly but steady climbing.  I was in tears by the time I got it all out.  So discouraged and disapointed that I have allowed myself to be this way.  He couldn't believe it and told me that he would help me, and so my journey began October 2007.

I completed my 7 months of the Supervised Weight Loss Plan in May of 2008.  I had my consultation in the Surgeons office 2 weeks later. 
This brings us to date.  I am now set to get the blood work done and a letter of approval from my Dr.  This will all be sent to the Insurance Co.  Here is where my Faith has to increase.  BCBS has to approve me for the surgery.  All those in agreement.  I ask that you pray that my desires are manifested in Jesus Name. Amen
